Lobster Love Story follows the imagined life of a lobster navigating loss, resilience, and connection through a quietly absurd narrative. Inspired by a childhood story told by my grandmother, the work blends humor with unease, drawing on the lobster’s natural lifecycle while imbuing it with human vulnerability.
The sculpture is constructed from ceramic, underglaze, glaze, oil paint, wire, wood, and found materials. Built through an intensive process of hand sculpting and assembly, the piece balances detailed craftsmanship with playful storytelling.
Best experienced slowly, Lobster Love Story invites viewers to move between curiosity and discomfort, following a character that feels strangely familiar despite its distance from ourselves.
